The Zapier platform allows hundreds of applications to be interconnected. In particular, it enables the automated publication of new articles on a company's Facebook page, based on the news on the company's blog. In our case, it also allows Organilog to be synchronised with other software, such as :

  • Send an SMS for each new intervention

  • Send an email when a new client is added

  • Send an email when a support ticket is added

  • Send interventions to a Google Calendar

We are going to detail the procedure for registering and starting the interconnection of Organilog with other platforms.

1/ Signing up

Creating an account is easy, and use is free but limited to 100 transfers per month.

Access to the site: https://zapier.com

The registration form is as follows:

An email and password are required to create the account.

2/ Create a first "Zap"

In the vocabulary of this tool, a "Zap" refers to an interconnection between 2 applications. You can create a first interconnection with the free version of Zapier.

By using the addition of a Zap, the first step is to look for the first module to be interconnected.

3/ Interconnection using an RSS feed

Organilog provides RSS feeds, in particular for listing interventions, tickets, invoices, and customers. This allows easy interconnection of these elements.

Look for the "RSS by Zapier" module in the first step of creating a "Zap". Afterward, you must specify that the interconnection must be carried out when there is a new item in the RSS feed (see "New item in Feed").

You then need to copy/paste the address of one of the RSS feeds proposed by Organilog, within the Zapier RSS module, then continue by clicking the "Continue" button.

Once the URL is specified, the module will check that it can read the data correctly.

Note: you must ensure that there is at least 1 existing item in the RSS feed. If not, be sure to create at least a first mock test.

If the reading test is conclusive, a notification with a message informs you of the success of the operation.

Once the RSS module has been configured, the 2nd part consists of selecting the module that will receive the data.

In bulk, it is possible to send RSS data to these existing modules: Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Email, SMS, etc.

Do not hesitate to rummage through the list of modules to discover new interconnection suggestions.
