Within the Organilog platform, each item has a unique identification number. This number starts at 1 and is incremented when a new record is added. This article explains how this numbering system works and its usefulness.

How it works

Using the example of customers, it is easy to see that the first customer will have the number "1", while the second will have the number "2", and so on. This number is unique for each customer and is constantly increasing. This identification number system will be similar for all other elements: addresses, interventions, tickets...

When a customer is deleted, the system will continue to increment. Thus, you should not rely on the continuity of the numbers, what is important is that each item has its identifier, even if the identifier has been deleted.

This numbering cannot be changed.

Application

By ensuring that each record has its own identifier, you can be sure that you can communicate this number to one of your users or customers without fear of miscommunication. The number also makes it easier to estimate the total number of customers or interventions at a glance on a daily basis.

Change the numbering

It is not possible to change the way the numbers are dialed or the dialing format. However, it is possible, for example, to hide the numbers on the PDF report auto-generated by the Organilog platform. It is also possible to add a custom text or numeric field to create your own reference code system for interventions, customers, tickets, or any other element.
